Adult Education

In its role as a House of Study, Temple Israel offers a variety of continuing education programs to its members including Oneg Shabbat lecture/discussions, periodic programs, scholars-in-residence, lecture series, and the Institute of Adult Jewish Studies. In addition, both Brotherhood and Sisterhood sponsor adult education programs.

The Institute of Adult Jewish Studies is sponsored jointly by Temple Israel, Congregation B’nai Emunah, the Jewish Federation of Tulsa, and the Tulsa Jewish Community Center. The Institute takes place on Monday evenings in two eight-week semesters, one in the fall and one in the winter. It has a published curriculum with many courses from which to choose.
