The Moe Gimp Early Learning Center, Day Schools, Inc., is recognized as one of the finest preschool programs in the City of Tulsa. It is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and certified by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services as a Three-Star facility. We offer children from 6 weeks through 5 years of age their first Jewish social and learning experiences outside the home. A thorough orientation is given to each family. It is important that our families understand the importance of the relationship between our faculty and each child and parent in our program.
With delight, we watch as children grow from infants to toddlers and from pre-kindergartners to school-age children. We know that a child’s nature will reflect the love, respect and attention they have received. Each child has one primary caregiver who is responsible for a family group, enabling special relationships to develop. Our infant and toddler curriculum is based on respect for each individual child. Our goal is to allow the child to grow and develop at his or her own pace and ensure that sound attachments are made. The philosophy is based on research from the Pikler Institute in Budapest, Hungary. The Pikler Institute was founded by Dr. Emmi Pikler who was a well-known pediatrician in Budapest. You can find more information about the Pikler approach by going to www.pikler.org.
Knowing that your child is getting individualized attention and allowed to progress at his or her own pace means satisfaction for you. Our strong Jewish preschool component includes welcoming Shabbat every Friday, ending Shabbat every Monday with Havdallah, and weekly interactive Jewish learning about holidays and values with Director of Youth and Education, Jennifer Lorch. Our monthly menu includes traditional Jewish foods, and we observe all Jewish holidays and festivals. A brochure outlining fees is available upon request. The hours are 6:45am – 6:00pm, Monday – Friday. Contact us at 918-747-3122 or TempleIsraelDaySchools@Gmail.com for enrollment information.
