BRIEF SUMMARY
1. Black-Jewish Dialog Establish a series of study circles with an African-American church in an effort to facilitate dialogue.
2. Breaking Circle of Hate Develop one-day event designed to sensitize the congregation's youth to anti-Semitism and racism.
3. Free Professional Services Coordinate donation of physician and attorney services to those who are unable to pay.
4. On-the-Job-Training Use members of congregation to assist with area business development or to teach others skills needed for employment.
5. Organ Donor Shabbat Dedicate a Shabbat service to the cause of organ and tissue donation.
6. Phone Companions for Seniors Provide volunteers who make reassurance phone calls to homebound elderly people.
7. Project Ezra Have volunteers take individuals shopping, provide home visits, and facilitate medical assistance.
8. Respite Care for Foster Parents Provide a day of activities for foster care children, allowing parents time off to catch up, rest, and renew themselves.
9. Rotating Tzedakah Box Rotate where donations are directed, thus allowing contributions to the tzedakah box to serve a variety of efforts.
10. SHOFAR Project Provide assistance, support, advocacy and education for individuals who are impacted by HIV/AIDS.
11. People of the Book Literacy Project Provide money, tutors, and library materials for schools and/or children at risk.
12. Project Heart--Help Educate and Renew Trust Establish an after-school academic enrichment program for minority children.
13. Temple Community Service Corps Offer summer employment to qualified high school and college youth in selected community agencies.
14. Community Wide Health Fair Provide free medical screenings, medical educational lectures and health-related information to poorer residents of the area.
15. House of Hope Build a house for a poor family in need of housing.
