Terry Rosenthal, President
Terry was born and raised in Tulsa and has been a lifetime member of Temple Israel. He is the son of Sylvia and the Late Charles Rosenthal of Tulsa. Terry and his wife, Madelyn, have five children, Stephen, Douglas, Charles, David and Jennifer. Terry is the manager and CEO of the family business, Charles Pest Control, Inc. He has served Temple Israel previously as Brotherhood President and has served on the Board of Trustees as Secretary, Second, and First Vice-Presidents. In addition, he helped establish and previously chaired the Temple Security Greeters Committee.
Jeff Chasen, President-Elect
Jeff and his wife, Jaime, and their children, Julia, Scott, and Zoey, moved to Tulsa in August of 2000. Jeff is a lawyer, and he serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of in2vate, llc, an international risk management consulting practice. He has served as a teacher in Midrasha and the Temple’s Religious School, Brotherhood President, chair of the Temple’s Membership Committee, and a member of the Education and Youth Committees, as well as a board member of several other Jewish and community organizations. Jeff was born in Chicago, and he and his family also have lived in Kansas City and Washington, DC.
Willie Burger, First Vice-President
Willie Burger grew up in San Diego, CA and moved to Tulsa in 1977 with his wife, Shirley. Willie and Shirley are residential Realtors with McGraw Realtors. Willie has served as a Temple Vice-President, Brotherhood President, Temple Greeters Chair, ShalomFest Co-Chair, Membership Chair and has served on the Outreach, Caring Temple and Ritual committees. Their daughter Rachel Welland and husband Adam live in San Diego; their son Phillip & wife Holly and their daughter Maggie live here in Tulsa.
Todd Arlan, Second Vice-President
Todd is a life-long member of Temple Israel. Todd, his wife Mary, and two daughters, Gracie and Emily are very active in Temple Family life. Todd has been involved in a variety of activities at Temple Israel including serving on the Board of Trustees, and chairing the Social Justice, Lead TI, and Outreach committees. He is on the Board of Trustees at the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma & is co-owner (with his father, Rick) of a packaging and shipping company, Craters and Freighters and Arlan Receiving, Delivery & Storage.
Michael Wasserman, Treasurer
Michael moved to Tulsa from South Florida in 2005. He joined the Temple Israel Board of Trustees in 2006 and served as Assistant Treasurer until May, 2009, when he became Treasurer and joined the Executive Committee. In addition to the Temple, Michael serves the Tulsa Jewish Retirement and Health Care Center in various capacities, including its Board of Trustees, Foundation and Sustainability Committee. Michael manages a local industrial supply company. He is married to Vitoria, and they have two daughters, Amanda and Roberta.
Stan Kessler, Secretary
A third generation Temple member, Stan is also serving as Chair of the Finance Committee. He is a Past-President of Brotherhood and was the 2007 recipient of Brotherhood’s Isaiah Award. He has served on the Greeter Committee since its inception and has also served on the Membership and Outreach Committees. He is a member of The Tulsa Downtown Lions Club. Stan is a mortgage banker with Megamerica Mortgage Group. He and his wife, Cathey, have been married for 24 fabulous years.
