Lay Leadership

Todd Arlan, President

Todd is a life-long member of Temple Israel.  Todd, his wife Mary, and two daughters, Gracie and Emily are active in Temple Family life. Todd has been involved in a variety of activities at Temple Israel including serving on the Board of Trustees, chairing the Social Justice, Lead TI, and Outreach committees. Todd and his father, Rick, operate Craters and Freighters and a local furniture delivery company.

 

Michael Wasserman, 1st Vice President

Michael moved to Tulsa from South Florida in 2005.  He joined the Temple Israel Board of Trustees in 2006 serving as Assistant Treasurer until May 2009 and Treasurer until May 2012.  In addition, since 2007, Michael also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Tulsa Jewish Retirement and Health Care Center, as well as its Foundation, Sustainability Committee, Construction Committee for the Dreams Never Retire rebuilding campaign and treasurer since April 2012.  Michael manages a local industrial supply company.  He is married to Vitoria, and they have two daughters, Amanda and Roberta.

 

Stan Kessler, 2nd Vice President

Stan is a third generation Temple member and is also serving as Chair of the Finance Committee.  He is a Past-President of Brotherhood and was the 2007 recipient of Brotherhood’s Isaiah Award.  He has served on the Greeter Committee since its inception and has also served on the Membership and Outreach Committees.  He is a member of The Tulsa Downtown Lions Club.  Stan is employed as an agent at The Wheeler Agency, a financial planning and insurance company.  He and his wife, Cathey, have been married for 26 fabulous years.

 

Brina Reinstein, Secretary

Brina grew up in Detroit, MI and moved to Tulsa in 1973.  She is a long time Temple member, has taught Sunday School and served on the Temple and Sisterhood Boards.  She was campaign Director of the Jewish Federation of Tulsa for 22 years.  Brina is divorced and has 3 children; Julie who lives in NY, Jenny who lives in Chicago and Matthew and his wife, Angela, who live in OKC.  Brina also has 4 grandsons.

 

Jon Stolper, Treasurer

Jon, who grew up in Muskogee, is a third generation Okie and a first generation Temple Israel member along with his wife Angie and two boys, Nathan and Matthew. Jon previously served Temple as Treasurer and has been active in various lay positions within the Tulsa Jewish community over the past nearly three decades. He currently serves as Investment Advisor and Chief Investment Officer at Stolper Asset Management, an Independent Registered Investment Adviser founded by Jon in 1998.
